Adulting
It’s tough being a grown up – I don’t know about you, I feel that parts of it are so magical and awe inspiring and then there is the day to day, the struggle and effort, the self doubt and self talk and perhaps those recurring questions we often ask ourselves:
“Am I going to be able to live into my potential?
“When will I ever believe in myself?”
“When will I show up for myself in the way I show up for others?”
“When will I stop caring about the likes and what people think of me?”
I’m here to remind you that you are doing great. Just because it’s messy doesn’t mean it’s not magical. Just because it ain’t pretty doesn’t mean that it won’t be worth it. Just because everyone else looks like they have it figured out doesn’t mean they have.
Sometimes you hear people say (regarding challenges they have overcome) “that was the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
I have had a couple of moments that would bring most to their knees – and I disagree – these moments are nothing that we would wish for – or hope for, but by going through them and by growing from them, these moments do help us become a better and more brave version of ourselves – in a way that we would never have been able to do without them.
So hang in there. It may take longer than you think and less time than you expect. Let go of the timelines, release the comparisons (it’s all the highlight reel over here anyway) and double down on you – on your journey – on your values and on your life.
You are remarkable – yes you – and
I see you.
